INSTRUCTIONS
A VAST COMPENDIUM OF KNOWLEDGE —IN ONE GAME!!
(Please note: The words on the backs of the game cards are not intended to match the images on the fronts.)
HOW TO PLAY (in ascending order of difficulty)
PICTURE TO PICTURE:
(Use front side of game card)
Teacher or game leader shows illustration side of teaching card while reading topic and definition aloud; player(s) search for and cover illustration on their game cards.
DEFINITION TO PICTURE:
(Use front side of game card)
Not showing illustration, teacher or game leader reads topic and definition on teaching card aloud; player(s) search for and cover corresponding illustration on their game cards.
PICTURE TO TOPIC:
(Use reverse side of game card)
Teacher or game leader shows illustration side of teaching card; definition only is read as player(s) search for and cover topic on their game cards.
DEFINITION TO TOPIC:
(Use reverse side of game card) Not showing illustration on teaching card, teacher or game leader reads definition only as player(s) search for and cover topic on their game cards.
Card squares can be covered with buttons, paper, whatever is available. To win, player must cover all squares, a column, corner(s), a diagonal, an X or as directed by teacher or game leader. Winning student can say VINCO (Latin for “I win”), HABEO (Latin for “I have [it”]), FAITH, or just raise a hand.
